Things I am thankful for today

1. I am thankful that I have, for the most part, the day to myself. 9:00 - 3:00 is all mine. It will, include laundry and housework, but I can do it at my leisure.

2. I am thankful for hazelnut coffee mate. When you can't have a really good cup of coffee, hazelnut coffee mate makes mediocre coffee taste really good.

3. And lastly, I'm am thankful for tigermorph whom I was going to save until last in my list of friends to be thankful for, but have decided to be especially thankful for her today. She listens to my never ending stream of whinging. She's able to give me a kick in the ass when I need it, and somehow it doesn't feel like a kick in the ass. She's a keeper of secrets and a sharer of joys. She has become one of my best friends without us ever actually meeting, and I love her.

Just when you think it can't get any worse...

So, about three years ago I had a car accident. It was my fault. I admit it. No question. There was considerable damage to both vehicles (not to mention the damage to my mental state) but nobody was seriously injured. It went through my insurance and it was all said and done.

So just now I got an email from a guy who used to sail with us who was in the car with me when I had the accident.

It said "How's it going, just writing a qucik message asking if you could forward me details about the accident we got into on the Dunbrack highway. Thank you, Richard:)"

Richard is about 19 now. He left the boat because his priorities shifted. He got into sex drugs and rock and roll, so to speak. Got in with a bad crowd and just didn't make it out sailing anymore.

How much do you want to bet he's gonna try to sue my ass.

Honest to god. Somebody shoot me.
