Things I am thankful for today

1. I am thankful that I have, for the most part, the day to myself. 9:00 - 3:00 is all mine. It will, include laundry and housework, but I can do it at my leisure.

2. I am thankful for hazelnut coffee mate. When you can't have a really good cup of coffee, hazelnut coffee mate makes mediocre coffee taste really good.

3. And lastly, I'm am thankful for tigermorph whom I was going to save until last in my list of friends to be thankful for, but have decided to be especially thankful for her today. She listens to my never ending stream of whinging. She's able to give me a kick in the ass when I need it, and somehow it doesn't feel like a kick in the ass. She's a keeper of secrets and a sharer of joys. She has become one of my best friends without us ever actually meeting, and I love her.

I started it about six months or so ago. Every day putting three things I was grateful for. It was amazing how quickly it caught on, and it didn't take long before everybody was noticing the good things in their life instead of taking them for granted. It kind of died off after a while though.

I've been having a kind of crappy time lately and I figured it was time to resurrect it. I mean after all, how can it hurt?

I do something similar to that, but at the moment of the good event, I thank God for the chance to view/experiance it. It has indeed given me a much greater love of life.

I know it has been long since I have commented on anything in your journal, infact, it has been a spell since I have read anyone's journal. However, I got to thinking about sailing last night, and how nice it must feel to glide across the waves in peace, that made me think of you and you made me smile. so thanks my friend.
