I am grateful that the headache I woke up with went away before I got to work

I am grateful that I work in an office where I can mosey on in at 9:30 and nobody notices or cares because I felt at the last minute like having peanut butter and jelly toast before I left home

I am grateful for peanut butter and jelly toast

I am grateful that I started this list because I can now look back and see that I have really had something to be grateful for every day

*** oh yeah and...

I am grateful it's Thursday

and I am grateful I don't work Fridays :)

...who, while I finish of the last of her Cuban coffee, has volunteered to go to the store and get some more *good* coffee.

I love her.

My boss sent me an email about 20 minutes ago that said:

Are you there???

Can I fax a QAC (QAC = Quality Assurance Checklist or "you have a complaint")

Here we go again. Remember she wanted to discuss a complaint with me a while ago? The one where everything was either very satisfied or satisfied except for the two departments that were out of my control - and they were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. http://www.livejournal.com/users/anigo/48888.html

Well, here comes another one that we need to "review". After 15 minutes of sitting here berating myself and feeling like crap - remember I just lost a big contract and god only KNOWS what could be on this QAC - I get the fax. All are Very Satisfied or Satisifed - including the Very Satisifed about the Attitude of the people that assist you (which would be me). The only "negative" comments are the two "neither satisfied nor dissatisfied" ones. One of which is, again, about contract administration - of which I have no connection or control - and the receiving of Statistical reports - which I'm not allowed to send out because it's a company mandate for small business customers not to receive any reports.

Let me tell you, friends, this is NOT doing much for my moral. My company, whose main focus is to make other companies' employee's happy, is failing miserably with their own employees.

Thank you, I will now return to my regularly scheduled "being grateful" mode.

Oh, and now my eyes are doing those funny things that they do before I get a really decent headache. And I can't get a headache right now - I've got a midterm in a couple of hours.

FUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

(Happy thoughts, happy thought, happy thought, happy thoughts...)

Fear

Fear is realizing when you're doing the on-line practice quiz for an exam that you have in 45 minutes that the whole pre-migrane eye sqiggly thing has made it next to impossible to comprehend a written sentence.

Relief is pushing the "correct the quiz" button and still finding you got 82%.

Fear is knowing it's only the online practice quiz and you still have a whole big-assed real exam waiting for you.

The Exam

Well, that's done.

66 Multiple Choice Questions )

There really ought to be a law....

The funny thing is that... )

ON the upside, my headache seems to not have materialized - just the eye squiggles, so while it was bad for the exam, at least I'm not hurling in the bathroom or gravol-ized in bed. However, tomorrow is another day, and I'm guaranteed to get a headache on my day off. I mean - otherwise I'd just enjoy it or something.
