If you were independently wealthy, what would you be doing?
Sitting on a patio in a villa in the mediteranian - right after my lyposuction and my face lift.
IWhen was the last time you flossed your teeth? Probably 6 months ago (the last time I went to the dentist) I'm not a flosser.
Have you ever sat on the roof of your house? Not as much as the house I grew up in, but I have. One of these days I'm going to dance naked on the roof. It's a goal of mine. Seriously.
1. What one thing do you like the best about yourself? Hmmm... Toughy. I'm not a big YAY ME kinda gal. I think it would have to be my sense of humour.
2. What one thing would you change in your life? Another toughy. I think if I could change anything it would be the fact that I take evrything personally and to heart.
3. What's your shoe size? That's a niner. Big a$$ feet.
1. How long have you been sailing and what do you enjoy the most about it? OOOOOH!!! Sailing questions!! Don't YOU know the way to my heart! I've been sailing off and on since I was about six. I've been racing for about five years. I love EVERYTHING about it. I love the fact that it is a high tech way to commune with nature. (You got a big ass piece of carbon fibre under your backside and another one flying above your head and the WIND is moving you and nothing else.) I love the camradire with the other sailors. They're a special breed of lunatics. Half in the past, shiver my timbers and all that, and half in the present. An amazing mix of dark rum and GPS. I love the fact that it's predominantly a man's sport and that I can participate almost equally. (I am physically weaker than most of my fellow crew, but that's my own fault) I love the fact that when you're sailing you're in effect on an island without access to phones or faxes or computers. It's great isolation. Can you sense any of my love from that explanation?
2. How do you define trust? That's a toughie. By definition it is when you believe what someone says to be true. Either that they're not lying or that their deeds are as they say they are. How do I trust? I rely mosty on my intution, but that's shakey at best. Some people I trust right away, some I don't trust at all. I have a hard time re-trusting, but usually really want to.
3. If you could have three wishes what would they be? Lately, one would be to be anywhere but here. I suspect that after I made that wish the second would be to be back here and the third one would be to be anywhere but here again. Having said that, I suspect that my first wish would to just be satisfied with what I have and what I am. The second would be for others to be satisfied with me and the third would probably have to do with people just being generally nicer to everybody everywhere. Here, there, the middle east...
What is your favorite all time quote? I have a couple, but I think my current favorite is from when Harry met Sally: "I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle in your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. "
What is the most imbarassang(so) thing your husband has ever done to you? We were at a coffee shop and he was eating an oat cake. I asked for a bite and he popped a bite in my mouth - except that it wasn't oat cake, he'd reached in his pocket and pulled out some dog food instead.
one famous person to have dinner with, romantic or not. Lets see. Assuming there is no bounds on living or dead a few that pop into my mind are Adrian Paul (from the Highlander Series) Hayley Wickenheiser (From Canada's Woman's Hockey Team) Mary Queen of Scots, Princess Diana (Ok, I'm a royalist, so sue me), Anybody on Team New Zealand or Alinghi (last two contenders for the America's Cup). You know, when it all comes down to it, I think I'd rather have dinner with somebody not famous - can I trade in my famous ticket and instead get all my LJ friends around a table?
