Only one thing to be grateful for today

I was with summerlady this morning. I didin't feel much like being grateful when I got up. I - again - have been up since 4:00 and I keep thinking it feels like there's a tomato in my brain (a tornado, really, but that's just the way my brains working this morning.)

However, on my way to work this morning, whilst slowing for a yellow light, a boom truck behind me - a mother flicker of a boom truck, either assumed I was going to run the yellow or he wasn't paying attention. The 30 foot black skid marks punctuate the fact that he stopped no more than a mere one inch from the back of my wee little Mazda. If being rear-ended by a monster boom truck wouldn't have hurt enough, being broadsided by cross traffic wouldn't have hepled the situation, I'm sure.

But he didn't hit me. So I'm grateful.

And I think I will spend the rest of the day under my desk.

Just pulling on my shoes...

I'm planning on keeping as low a profile as is possible today, both on the roads and in the office. But I have way too much to do today to blow it off--plus, Carlos is back and I may get a free lunch out of the deal on top of it.
