There's a small child in us all somewhere. We don't behave this way over food but in more subtle psychological ways, we fall into a vicious circle of denying ourselves what we know we can only benefit from. In the absence of a caring, coaxing, patient parent, you must play such a role for yourself today. Trick yourself into it if you must. But give yourself what you know you need.
