Well. Actually it's only quarter to nine so there's a bit more counting to do, but just thought I'd pop in to wish everybody a happy new year.

The year was odd. Ended poorly and will start poorly but I start my new role on Monday and I have never been so heavy or in so much debt, so believe it or not I'm optimistic that it will be easier to go up than down.

Oh please. You know I love your ranting/rambling. Have at 'er girl!!!

I'm a firm believer in a person is responsible for their own destiny but the environment they grow up in has a lot to do with how much in er strength they have to own up to that responsibility.

I have my own opionons on your particular situation and I'll keep them to myself though I suspect they're similar to yours.

And you're neither overly rainbows and unicorns nor overly thunder clouds and dog poop. You're a realist that can see good things where they are, knows there are always weeds between the flowers but you keep rolling up your sleeves and you keep on trying to make the world a better place regardless.

You're ok in my books.

I've always thought of myself as a realist but too many people lately have been throwing the "you're such an optimist" line at me, I had to explore it a bit.
