1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Got to the top of the mast

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions and will you make more for next year?
Did the 10k, didn't achieve the 10 pushups, though the kid says if I work hard I can do it before 2011. Oh well. :)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My puppy's mom. Does that count?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank god.

5. What countries did you visit?
USA - NYC to be precise. And Mexico!

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
A waistline

7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Um... Uh... November 28th, cuz I went to NYC? I'm really not good with dates. In fact, I'm not really sure I actually really went to NYC on Nov 28. Actually, yes, I did. Ok, so that must be etched. Fair 'nuff.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not one achievement, per se, just a lot of little personal growths. S'all good.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Hmm... Falling of the healthy waggon once I finished the 10k. That was stupid. Now it's going to be harder to get back to where I was.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Hmm.. Apparently 2010 is a bit of a blur. I'm currently suffering from a cold, does that count? And Fallout is giving me some serious nausea when I play it.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
PUPPYPUPPYPUPPYPUPPY

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Nobody comes to mind particularly. Maybe my bestie Mo. She's a good pal.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
How about Lindsay Lohan. That works for me.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Take out food, travel and my credit card.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Straight No Chaser in NYC, and getting to the top of the mast, and running 10K

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
I think it might have to be "I Got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas, because they kept singing it in Mexico and it was my hill song on my iPod for running.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
More full. I ate too much today. And nauseated. Stupid Fallout.

ii. thinner or fatter?
Slightly larger, but only this month.

iii. richer or poorer?
Slightly richer. My line of credit got paid off this week through some miracle.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spent time with my family.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressed about work.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Everybody will be coming here for a change. First time ever. I'll be cooking a turkey. Expect disastrous results.

21. Did you fall in love in 2010?
Always

22. What was your favorite TV program?
Cougar Town. Need I say more?

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hmm... Not a big hater. In fact, most of the people I don't like I have on my 2011 new years resolution list to become besties with. It's a challenge.

24. What was the best book you read?
The Last Lecture

25. What was your greatest musical discovery of 2010?
Michael Franti and Spearhead

26. What did you want and get?
PuppyPuppyPuppyPuppy

27. What did you want and not get?
A waistline

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Haven't watched that many films, and none of them have been from 2010, so can I use a get out of Meme free card on this?

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
42 - And I had people over, except we forgot to invite my sister, so that was bad.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A waistline

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Stretchy. From workout gear to these FANTASTIC dress pants from Reitmans with a stretchy waistband that look absolutely professional but feel like sweatpants.

32. What kept you sane?
Booze, and my bestie Mo.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Bradley Cooper. **blush** Oh wait, I saw the A-Team. Must revise previous answer...

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Pathetically apathetic with politics. Not proud, but that's just me.

35. Who did you miss?
Hmmm... Lucky for me I am in touch with everybody I love and nobody's died recently, so that's a good thing. I think this time of year I miss my grandparents because I never had an opportunity to know them as a grownup.

36. Who was the best new person you met?
Hmmmm.... Oh, the breeder of my puppy, Michelle. She's way cool. On the other hand, I didn't meet many new people, so she's probably easily the coolest of them all.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
42 is the new 22.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
How about the whole song:

Colin Hay: Waiting for my Real Life To Begin.

Any minute now, my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
I'll stand on the bow, feel the waves come crashing
Come crashing down down down, on me

And you say, be still my love
Open up your heart
Let the light shine in
But don't you understand
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

When I awoke today, suddenly nothing happened
But in my dreams, I slew the dragon
And down this beaten path, and up this cobbled lane
I'm walking in my old footsteps, once again
And you say, just be here now
Forget about the past, your mask is wearing thin
Let me throw one more dice
I know that I can win
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

Any minute now, my ship is coming in
I’ll keep checking the horizon
And I'll check my machine, there's sure to be that call
It's gonna happen soon, soon, soon
It's just that times are lean

And you say, be still my love
Open up your heart, let the light shine in
Don't you understand
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin
