Oct. 8th, 2010 03:18 pmI will be running in my first 10k "race" on Sunday. The following are my goals and the probability of achieving each:
1. Complete the race (98% probability)
2. Complete the race without walking any of it. (91% probability)
3. Complete the race and not come in last (90% probability)
4. Complete the race in under 1 h 20 min. (80% probability)
5. Complete the race with a better pace time than my Bluenose 5k (40% probability)
6. Complete the race in under an hour (2% probability)
Place your bets now....
(note: "Race" is in quotes because, really, I am very very slow, and as long as I accomplish the first goal I'll be quite happy. If I manage to make the second goal I'll be over the moon. Everything else is gravy after that.)
