Where have all the sitcoms gone?

So I was thinking the other day... Trying to think of 3 different current sitcoms. And I couldn't do it. I came up with 2 and a half men, and that was it.

What happened to all the sitcoms?

Remember Friends? Seinfeld? WKRP? What about Happy Days. MASH? There were OODLES of sitcoms right up until about 5 years ago, and they've all seemed to disappear. REplaced by 10,000,000 reality shows.

Or is it my imagination?

I love Big Bang Theory, and we currently have a swathe of home grown ones, of varying success. Not Going Out is good if you fancy a bit of northern humour, I'm sure google will provide.

But yeah, I keep waiting for the "reality" fad to die off but it doesn't seem to. Is there someway we can vote on it? Text now..

How I Met Your Mother... is that a sitcom? I'd class that as a sitcom.
