That's the best I could do. You're right - the news IS depressing. Oh, except for that girl who died in the school shooting last year... her family has raised a lot of money for that foundation they've started in her name, the "I love you guys" fund, but I don't know how much or what they're using it for or, um, any other details.

Suck.

It wasn't so much I needed cheering up, it was more along the lines of "Please can there be some good news?" However, oh my GOD those are hilarious and deserve a post all they're own.

Bravo! I'd heard about Pumpkin when she'd been found originally. It's not unusual for the news to bombard people with horror stories when bad things happen to kids, but it's less often the media follows up on the good outcomes.
