To my Nana

My Nana just passed away.

I didn't know her very well. She lived in England where my Dad's from.

I always said that next year would be the year that I would go get reaquanted with her and my grandad. Now it's not gonna happen.

The funny thing is, I sent them a letter about a month ago saying I wanted to get to know them better and telling them all about me and my family and who I'd become and asking them to tell me about themselves.

She sent me a Christmas card saying a letter would follow.

Now I guess it never will.

I know you would have liked to get to know her better, but how lovely that you sent her that letter letting her know that.

How nice that she got to know that you were important to her.
