Newfoundland Bound

I have to go to St. John's on October 15th. Finally a date has been booked!

I'll have customer meetings from about lunch time until after supper, but I'd love to meet up with anybody currently living in St. John's either later in the evening or perhaps for breakfast!

Em, One of my best friend's son has been accepted to MUN this year and is flying over on Sunday. Unfortunately, however, there's been a last minute screw up with his room at the dorm - he doesn't think he has one! His mother has been told to wait until Friday and they'll see what they can do - but he's going over SUNDAY! Needless to say she's totally freaking!! Do you know of anybody who might have a couch or a corner on the floor where he could crash in case he doesn't have a roof when he gets there Sunday night? Her son's a cutie, and a good guy. 19, doesn't smoke, and his mom would kill for a contingency plan. (And would also pay for one.) She'll pay room and board for him until something's sorted out. He's a good kid and I'd vouch for him 100000%. Hell, I'd adopt him if I could. Not to mention he's a cutie. He's taking economics with a minor in history. And he's a cutie!

Have any ideas for me?

I have a couch. And a car if he needs picking up at the airport. I don't know that it would do for more than a week, but it would help. I also know someone at work who might have a spare room.

Also, is that company-paid dinner still available? I'd love to go to Bianca's and see if it's worth the prices I hear they charge.

And also wear my black dress again, because I look hawt in it.

Thank you Em. You are an absolute Peach. i don't know if he's going to need the couch or not, but I know his mother will be beyond thankful that she at least has a back-up plan.

And yes, Bianca's it is. Do I need to wear a dress too?

Well, don't tell her yet, let me confirm with the roommates. He'll have Monday off, and if he needs a ride to classes on Tuesday I can drop him at the campus before work.

There's also a bulletin board at work where there are people looking for roommates, just in case the dorm room falls through.

T'would appear you're off the hook for an extra roomie. MUN came through with a dorm room. But thank you from the bottom of my heart for the offer.

Still available as a taxi service from the airport if he needs one. Or he can call co-op. 726-6666. They;re the best cab company IMO. The shuttle bus costs the same as a cab, it's a total rip.
