Winter's finally arrived, though currently it's only just at the freezing mark, we've had snow and sleet and freezing rain. I prefer the warm crap myself, but hey.

Jeeze, I have nothing to say.

Maybe that's why I haven't been posting lately.

Lessee... Things going on in my world:

Exercise and Dieting: Yeah, doing it. It's new years, what do you expect. Back to swimming and walking a bunch. Couldn't walk last night because of a snow storm, and not Rualking until it warms up a bit. I think I've lost about 5 pounds since Jan 1st, but as I refused to get on the scale on the first of January, Im not exactly sure. Denial, denial, denial. I'm getting better at swimming. Slower, but my endurance is much much better. Just gotta keep plugging away at it.

Work: Work's been insane. Imagine this. Imagine you're you, and you have a skill. Say you're good at making pottery for example. You're walking around on the street and your friends come up to you and say "come with me". They put you in a plane, fly you over some foreign country wherein you don't know the language, nor the customs, open the door and say - "There you go, these people need somebody who knows how to use clay. Oh, and watch out for their customs, they're easily offended." and they start to push you out of the plane. "HOLD ON A MINUTE" you say, "Wha...?" And they say "Oh yes, silly us, we forgot, here's your parachute" and they push you out of the plane. So you land in the city, and you don't have a clue. You don't know the language, you don't know who you're supposed to see, you don't even really have a clue what they need from you, just that they need somebody who knows how to use clay. Are you making dishes? Artwork? Bricks? And don't offend them? How do you not offend them when you don't know what their customs are?

Ok, now imagine your friends doing this to you twice in as many weeks, for two completely different foreign countries.

There's nothing more amazing than meeting your contact at a company for the first time and have her tell you that she'll need to get you an ID card, a security pass, and that you'll either be sharing an office with the on-site counsellor or will take the office next to hers.

Um... I kinda have an office already.

Yeah, exactly. Strange days indeed. Most peculiar mama.

Shite.

Ok, what else.

Relationship things: Decent. I have the best kid in the world. Dick's being pretty darn good lately. I have some really good friends, when I breathe long enough to talk to them.

I guess I lead a pretty uneventful life.

Talk to you all again in another 3 or 4 weeks, i guess.
