anigoI would really like to go sailing again please. Please? C'mon, Pretty please? I've only been out twice so far this year - both on the same weekend. The rest of the time Thom's been doing something to the boat. Taking out the transmission, putting it back in, fixing this, doing that... I suppose that in the big picture it's a good thing to have a boat that's fully functioning, but I WANT TO GO SAILING!. This weekend I dropped off the Radar for maintenance and I picked up the life raft from having it's annual check-up. $650 CDN for them to open it up, make sure there are no holes in it, replace some anti-nausia pills, fold it back up again and stuff it in the container. Shit!
Speaking of anti-nausia stuff, I walked around with the Scopolamine Patch on for most of the weekend. I wanted to make sure that it didn't react with the medication I'm on now. I figured if I was going to have a seizure or drop dead it would be better to do so on land as opposed to 50 miles off shore.
No seizures nor dropping dead. Much horrible taste in my mouth and dry throat tho. And a bit of vertigo, but I swear, I'd rather that than be ill. Blegh! Oh, and possibly a bit of a problem with intestinal motility, but who really wants to crap at sea anyway. (Sorry, tmi, I know)
So, this weekend, since I didn't sail and the weather was so wonderful, I spent time in the yard weeding and stuff. I even mowed the lawn! Something I think I haven't done in possibly 10 years. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Crank up the mp3 player and walk around in circles. Tis nice. Gonna do it more often. I took a few pictures. They don't exactly show my yard off, but they show a couple of the plants I was paying attention to this weekend in the weeding department.
