Grateful List
Nov. 11th, 2005 10:38 amBienvenue and welcome to the reintroduction of the grateful list.
And grateful I am.
Today I am grateful that the sun is shining, even though it's barely above freezing. The sun is shining and there are chickadees and juncos at my feeder and Dick took the rocking chair out of the bedroom and put it back into the kitchen and now I can sit and look out my window in my rocking chair and drink good coffee and enjoy watching the birds eat seed at the feeder in the sun.
I am grateful that it is the weekend, that today is a holiday, that I don't have to go to work until Monday and that I have such a great kid who wants to hang out with me. Sunday the two of us are going to the theatre to see a production of "guess how much I love you". I am grateful for that book and for all the things I associate with it. Yes, this includes you.
I am grateful that I got a notification that my BPAL stuff was mailed on Wednesday. It's on its way.
I'm grateful that I will be able to stand up shortly, get into a nice hot shower that will last a long time, scrub myself with any number of smelly scrubs, wash my hair, towel off in a warm room, put on clean clothes (fleece most likely) and laze around the house knowing that there's money in my bank account and food in my fridge and there are people in the world who really love me, and in the end, what else do you need?
