Cue the twilight zone music
Oct. 11th, 2005 01:43 pmThis weekend we went to a hockey game for my nephew. During the hockey game this lady was walking around selling the usual 50/50 tickets. I bought an "arm" of tickets for $5. (Meaning, she holds the roll of tickets out till they reach the length of your arm and that's how many tickets you get. Knew that? I didn't. Maybe I should go to more hockey games. On second thought... nahhhh.)
So I took my "arm" of tickets - 16 of them to be exact - and divided them up into individual tickets. (I know, I'm a bit odd that way. But humour me, it gets interesting.) Of those individual tickets, I picked one out, handed it to Dick, and said hold on to this one. This is the winner.
Guess what.
It was.
How freekie is that?
Not only did I get the winning ticket, I selected - from the 16 tickets in my hand - the exact one that would be the winner.
What are the chances?
