CIBC 5k Run for the Cure. I know I can. I could do 5K no problem now, I think. I want to... but I don't feel like I want to be bothered for some reason.
it'll make you feel good about all the effort you have put toward your program. you'll have a sense of accomplishment and build momentum for continuing the program.
Of course you want to do this. At least part of you does, that's why you asked the question in the first place. The tough chick inside is already doing stretches and thinking about pre-race meals so you better let her go or she'll be pissed. She's worked hard and this is her chance to set the bar.
So go for it. I think you'll find that once you commit to the race your attitude will change from blegh to determined. Plus it will be fun running with the other 100s - 1000s of folks.
just do it!
