Made it through another day

anigoIt's 4:50 and I have been employed for yet another day. No layoffs today and now a nice long 4 day weekend, so I'm employed until at least Tuesday. (Well, actually, they may fire me tomorrow, but I won't pay any attention to it until Tuesday.)
However, the not knowing if I will be employed next week has left me with a serious case of "I'll do this work when I know I'm going to be employed for a while, as opposed to wasting energy on something I won't be around to see to fruition"
I have spent a lot of time commenting in various journals, making and drinking coffee and discussing naval lint with various individuals. I did actually drop some promotional material off at the place I did the orientation yesterday (which could be taken as work related) hoping to "take the risk" as my horoscope suggested (ok, while it could be taken as work related, it wasn't - you're right). The result was Nada, so there must be some other risk I need to take today. Maybe I need to try a left turn at the Willow Tree intersection on the way home.
