On another note..

Do you need extra pillows? Bring your existing ones to my house. There's something magic in my house that causes pillows to multiply.

I can remember buying, at most, 4 pillows in my lifetime. I just made The Kid's bed and noticed she only had one pillow and usually has two. So I went downstairs to the rec room/toy room/spare bedroom/room of disaster to grab another pillow. I have not one, not two, not three, not four, not even five pillows in my house, I have THIRTEEN pillows. And we're talking sleeping pillows here, This doesn't even begin to touch on throw cushions or accent pillows or such.

Ok, so... Let's assume I took two pillows with me when I moved out on my own 100 years ago. And then I bought four more. And let's assume that my dad left two when he moved out after living here for a bit. That still leaves me with... (please hold while I do the math) 5 pillows of unknown origin. (or something like that.)

Maybe I could start a pillow farm.

Kid's room - cleaned and bed changed - CHECK
Laundry - 2 loads washed, dried, folded and sorted ready to be put away, 1 load currently on the line drying - CHECK
Stupid board - first coat dried, second coat will follow shortly - CHECK
Relaxing lavendar essential oil simmering in potpourri burner - CHECK
Computer room cleaned - CHECK
Mom's present wrapped and ready to go - CHECK
Wine chilling in the fridge - CHECK
INCREDIBLE mixed green salad with almonds, cucumbers, baby tomatoes, warmed sundried tomatoes, camembert, and an incredible raspberry vinegrette made and being consumed as i type - CHECK (God, everything's better handled on a full stomach, isn't it.)

Time 'till company arrives: 4 hours

Things left to do:

Finish cleaning the bathroom
Clean the kitchen
Sweep the floors
Find the rec-room
Do something with the stupid board.
Jeeze, make more of this salad. holy cow it's good.

Ok, I'm off. I think I'll do some more of the board and then maybe make another salad. ;)

And yes, the smart thing (and the thing I may very well end up doing) is recovering it with black fabric.
