Huzzah!

I have finally been reimbursed for the last of my expenses. My Christmas fund (which I'd dipped into over the summer) has been replenished. My credit cards are all paid off, I have a nice little amount sitting in a "do not touch" account for rainy days/emergencies/traveling, I have some money in my chequing account for some upcoming bills...

Fruit Fly Madness

I don't know about the rest of the world, but Nova Scotia right now is a haven for the damn fruit fly.

Y'all remember Madame Drosophila from grade 10 biology, yes? People do lots of genetic research on the little buggers because they reproduced so damn quickly?

Well, there's a whack of them here.

I did a quick google to see what can be done about them. I came across a site that recommended putting a funnel over a jar with a piece of banana in it to attract them. Once they've been captured...
