The joys of being a soccer coach.
Jun. 17th, 2003 08:32 pmI am grumpy.
I went to coach soccer and Mr. "I haven't shown up for three games, but I want to be the coach now" decides he was going to be the coach. Actually, that's not fair, he does know a great deal about soccer, and I did invite him to warm the kids up. But then he took over. And he'd only talk to Richard, who'd never been to a soccer game yet this, who has never played soccer, but, by virture of being a man, was the one he chose to deal with. Not the actual coach (moi). Then there was turmoil as we were trying to get the kids on and off the field during rotations - and every parent felt that they had a system that would work better than me randomly picking children (which was probably true, but these back seat coaches were annoying me.) Ok, maybe I'm just in an annoyable type mood.
So sue me.
