anigoToday i spent too much money.
Today I bought a pretty new CD burner and impulse-purchased a speaker system for my computer. It's very swell. It has a separate subwoofer. I like that in a sound system.
And now, at 12:36 aye ehm, everything's working the way it should, including Ernie who, thanks to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
fatty666 has been reformatted and is behaving like a very happy little computer. In fact, both Ernie and Bert are talking to EACH OTHER! So, I can, in theory, back up all of my crap onto happy little burned CDs, while listening to a previously burned CD (one that I'd purchased earlier, of course), enjoying the bass thump the sandles off my feet while I'm at it.
Wow. When I step away from the computer for a couple of days, I really know how to get back up to speed.
Oh hey, two things. First, this website http://www.explodingdog.com is absolutely wonderful. The cartoonist has the best sense of... something. Very dry with a touch of sad and a lot of witty. Slowly I think I'm going to be using some of his pictures as icons.

Rainbow Valley (http://www.rainbowvalley.pe.ca/) is in Prince Edward Island, Canada. We used to go there as kids. Hell, we used to go there as adults. It's a very tacky fun park with water slides and go karts and the like - the biggest in the province (and that's not saying much). Really, it's not much physically, but it's very... what... I think every kid in the atlantic provinces has been to Rainbow Valley at least half a dozen times in their life. And now Parks Canada have decided that it would be nicer as a bunch of bike trails and stuff. Now, don't get me wrong, I love bike trails and stuff, but the island's got a tonne of them already and it only has one Rainbow Valley. It'd really be a shame to see it go. They've had it on the radio locally, but if everybody told 2 friends... You don't have to make your signature public, but if you were to at least sign it... It wouldn't be dishonest, I mean you *could* in theory visit it sometime in the future - assuming it was still there.
Ok, that'd be it. I'm going to bed now.
