In the Kid's class they have this thing - it's called "Secret Word Detective". Each kid takes a turn with this big beach bag and a secret letter combination - SH, BR, TH, stuff like that - and they have to bring something to school in the bag that starts with the letter combination along with three hints. In the past we've done Shell and Braid, etc.

Today the Kid came home with the letter combination SW and we chose something to go in the bag.

So the three hints are...

1) People do it when they're hot
2) It doesn't have any colour
3) Sometimes it smells

(There's a fourth bonus hint that says "I've been collecting it from my dad for the past six months)



It's SWEAT.

We've filled a smallish bottle up with water, added a pinch of cornstarch and a drop or two from the tea pot just to make it look a tad more authentic, and written the word "SWEAT" on the front with magic marker.

It was rather hard to do, trying to see through the tears of laughter. My Kid's a riot. And she's got perfect comedic timing.
