Feb. 16th, 2005 06:13 pmI have been having a tough time picking one default user pic. God, the trials and tribulations of life, eh?
I have been feeling gawdawffl good lately. (Sorry to those who aren't feeling so hot - but it happens rarely. Let me have it for a bit and then I'll share it around, I promise!)
I've been dreaming about racing again. It's becomming recurring. It's almost as darn good as being on the water. Maybe that's why I'm feeling better. If I get the raise I'm supposed to get I might even be able to swing Marblehead. Fingers crossed please! In the meantime, my PayPal info is....
It's now spring break - which means I don't have class this weekend. Not such a big deal, really, as my class is telephonic and quite frankly I've been surfing the web most of the time I'm supposed to be "in class" anyway. (oops! Did I say that?)
I drove to Prince Edward Island and back today to do a presentation for a group of 'Islanders'. Yano what? I'm a snob. Aye, 'tis true. But I tells ya, standing in front of a room full of people, half of whom have the same person for both a cousin and a brother, who in a room full of 40 people don't have enough teeth between all of them to fill up one person's mouth... It's just hard not to be a snob. Now, I live in Nova Scotia. We're not exactly Monaco or Paris, but... Never mind. I think I've been here before. Remember... farting as an art form? It was an 8 hour drive for a 20 minute presentation. There it was a large room, much machinery in the back ground and I had to yell. Thank god I get paid fairly decently for kilometers.
Dick's in the middle of his second week of the three weeks of his course. If both of us come out of this alive it will be a miracle. If I am the only one that comes out alive... well.. that might not be such a bad thing either ;) (Insert whingy comments about taking 2 classes at the same time *and* working) Ah, but it's math and physics which completely boggles me so I guess I can cut him a bit of slack, but I've got to say, he's really fulfilling the role of student - right down to the 14 year old's attitude.
Otay, that's it for me for today. I think I shall go surf around and find a couple of new user pics with which to cause myself further uncertainty.
Oh, and another thing. I've discovered that for some reason, my spelling, which is down right atrocious at the best of times, is becomming worse by the day. I suspect by the end of 2005 I shall be completely incomprehensible.
Thank god I can always fall back on my perfect punctuation;

Points to you for picking up the spelling mistake.
Points off for missing the whole point of the paragraph all together.
