I think this journal shall become temporarily idle until I feel certain I can talk without whining, yelling or complaining, which is all I seem to be able to do lately. Oh, add to that, until I am able to listen to, read or remotely relate to anything Christmassy without wanting to bury my head, rip the speakers out of what ever appliance is playing the offending music, or snarl uncontrollably.

One of the reasons why I like you is the fact that you keep your LJ "real." I don't expect butterflies and roses every time I check in.

If, on the other hand, *my* LJ entries are a source of frustration and non-interest, of course I expect you to look elsewhere. Hopefully I have been posting things more on the inspirational side than the other stuff.

Christmas can be a challenge for anyone to stay upbeat (mainly due to the commercial influences), so don't be afraid to vent here if needed. That is what your blog is for. Your true friends will understand and stand behind you. I know I will.

You've gotta do what you've gotta do.

But I hope you know that you don't have to be cheerful all the time, or only post things that are happy and upbeat. If you want (or need) to whine, yell or complain you have friends here who will listen to you and still love you. We pick our friends because of who they are - even when they're not happy - and not because they entertain us.

So take a break if you want to. We'll still be here when you want to come back.

But see, that's the thing. I'm not going anywhere, I'm not really even taking a break, I'm just tired of all of my writing being whining lately. And if *I* am tired of it, the rest of the world has GOT to be tired of it.

But it's okay if all you're doing is whining. I think we all know how it feels to be going through a bad patch. We all understand the need to vent. Your friends won't get dump you if you don't have happy entries.

I do understand what you're saying, though. There were times when I stopped posting on Callahan's, or even here, because I didn't feel I had anything positive to say and I didn't want to be bringing everyone down.

I guess what I'm saying is that if you need to vent, if you need to whine, it's all right.

you don't whine all the time, you just think you do. Like I think all I post is "got up, did this, did that briefly and went to bed" type posts. Oh... well anyway you don't whine all the time.

Besides it's your journal, do what the chuff you want with it. Naked pics are optional I suppose.. ;)
