Hey, anybody got an old hard drive hanging around anywhere they're not using and want to sell fairly (read: VERY) cheaply?

It doesn't have to be big - it's taken me 5 years to fill up 8 gb, so another couple should last me until I've paid off my outstanding tuition and can run up some more debt on a new idiot box.

I've a a 10 gig or a 20 gig I can let you have, they're laptop drives but I'll throw in the adaptor... [trust me, it's a no brainer to fit, it's just a plug]
how much are you thinking of shelling out for 'em? P&P would be about 3-5 pounds that's..er, $5.25 to $8.80... Hmm, might be better if you can find someone locally [read, on the same continent].

Mind you, I could load it with a few goodies like a copy of photoshop, and some other bits and pieces I have lying around...

I've got a fairly recent version of Photoshop, so I'm not too hard up for software. I sent [livejournal.com profile] simonmarshall my old palm pilot a couple of months ago. I paid for shipping but he, in turn, bought me some stuff from my wishlist from Amazon.ca and had it sent to me. Are there any books or something similar that we could consider as a swap?

[livejournal.com profile] fatty666 or lj user="stonner">, either one of you have any comments on the feasibility of this?

Yeah, sounds good. I'll create a wishlist on amazon [like that'll be hard, NOT!] and you can pick a few off that.

I have several HD, a ten and a twenty gigabyte that I know work, and some 60 and 80 one's that need testing first [they may or may not] I'll pick out the largest one that's ok, for you.

The only reservation I have is how well the harddrive will survive posting... but I should think if it's packaged well it should survive [besides they're laptop HD's, so they're harder than a normal one.]

Do you want me to throw in the adaptor plug, or will you find one from a local supplier? [they're dead cheap, mine cost a couple of quid].
