Hey, anybody got an old hard drive hanging around anywhere they're not using and want to sell fairly (read: VERY) cheaply?
It doesn't have to be big - it's taken me 5 years to fill up 8 gb, so another couple should last me until I've paid off my outstanding tuition and can run up some more debt on a new idiot box.

Date: 2004-09-29 11:33 pm (UTC)how much are you thinking of shelling out for 'em? P&P would be about 3-5 pounds that's..er, $5.25 to $8.80... Hmm, might be better if you can find someone locally [read, on the same continent].
Mind you, I could load it with a few goodies like a copy of photoshop, and some other bits and pieces I have lying around...

Date: 2004-09-30 01:24 pm (UTC)I have several HD, a ten and a twenty gigabyte that I know work, and some 60 and 80 one's that need testing first [they may or may not] I'll pick out the largest one that's ok, for you.
The only reservation I have is how well the harddrive will survive posting... but I should think if it's packaged well it should survive [besides they're laptop HD's, so they're harder than a normal one.]
Do you want me to throw in the adaptor plug, or will you find one from a local supplier? [they're dead cheap, mine cost a couple of quid].
