Hi Ho, I'm Home.

That was a long freekin' drive. Almost 7 hours when all was said and done - for a 20 minute presentation. They did, however, feed me - soup, a salad with amazing poppy seed dressing, "appetizers" of sole baked in shrimp sauce and the main course of chicken marinated in something heavenly and barbecued. Oh, and desert of a hazelnut torte. I was too full to do a presentation, and luckily everybody was too full to listen. So I had no trouble cutting my usual hour presentation down to 20 minutes.

The drive home was bad for the first hour. I so wanted to doze off, but I stopped at Tim Horton's and got a tea and then cranked the tunes for the rest of the way home. The eclectic selections of the likes of Vertical Horizon, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Emenem, the Coors, John Mayer, and TLC, to name a few, helped to keep me awake.

So now I'm home to an empty house. Dick and the dog are at work and the kid is at niffer8 (thank you, thank you, thank you) who is going to drop her off at school in the morning. This means I'm currently the only warm body in the house - unless you count the hamster.

The one thing I like about the weather not being 32 degrees celcius is the fact that you can jump into a bed with feather pillows and a nice thick feather duvet and you can enjoy it rather than sweat to death.

I think that's where I'll go right now.
