ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
Sep. 7th, 2004 09:44 amWe sailed yesterday. Awesome sail, considering they were only calling for 5-10 knots. We saw 25 knots of wind and 10 knots of boat speed, which is *very* respectable. It's a go for the convoy cup this weekend. Halifax to Liverpool and back - 24-36 hours depending on the wind. Hurricane whassisname should be around about that time, so it should make for an interesting trip. Three reefs and a blade on the way down and a 2 oz spinnaker and a lot of white knuckle sailing on the way back.
I had a whopping three cups of coffee yesterday, two in the morning and one on the boat and as a result I didn't sleep a wink last night. Literally. I'm working on zero sleep here.
I was going to post all the whingy stuff that I didn't post yesterday, but I'm too tired to whinge.
I've got to drop off the borrowed vang at lunch time at North Sails and pick up a new harness. And with that, I've reached the end of my Sailing Blurge for the time being. Thanks for putting up with it.
If you need me I'll be napping under my desk.
