Sep. 2nd, 2004 09:05 amOh my GOD.
I am such a freekin' nut job.
As soon as I stop being the overly emotional mother on her kid's first day of school... (And this is her THIRD year, you'd think I'd be past that by now) ...I shall endeavour to make a coherent post.
In the meantime, where's the damn kleenex.

Date: 2004-09-02 08:54 am (UTC)I dunno what my reaction will be when my godson goes for his first day of school. (let's see, he turns 3 in October, so that means he'll be starting in.. 2006?)
And yeah, I know having a godson isn't the same as having your own child. But I love the little guy. :)

Date: 2004-09-02 03:26 pm (UTC)It's not easy being a mom, is it? Not that I would know or anything. I'm just saying...
No worries..
Date: 2004-09-04 08:27 am (UTC)I've been there, and I have thought about that too.
Of course, I am NOT a mother, but a Dad who has but one kidling left in the nest. Every time she hits a milestone, I think to myself "That's the LAST time a kidling in my house does THAT.."
Be brave. Enjoy the moment. And enjoy the occasional cry.
And then find some chocolate.
