Wednesday Night...

anigo...and nothing's going on. Lucy's asleep (thank god) which means she's not peeing on the floor or chewing at my ankles. Cute dog, but Damn, I forgot how much trouble puppies could be. Haven't sailed in almost two weeks and going lack-of-sailing-adrenaline crazy. Luckily there are two races this weekend - one on Saturday and one Monday. Then four in September and the Rum Race the first week of October and then that's it until next year.
I need to move to sunnier climes.
Got a fun proposition today from one of my friends at work. It seems our training department is looking for a graphic artist to do some layout work. She thought of me immediately. Unfortunately, relations between the training department and me are "somewhat strained" (to quote the training department) bah, says I. Anyway, the training department is located in Toronto, which (gladly) is WAY far away, so anything we do will be telephonic and/or electronic. It's not like I'll be hanging out with them. Besides, I don't hold grudges. Just because I think the department is completely and totally useless doesn't mean I woudln't be willing to do their graphic stuff. Besides, it would be contract work over and above my day job. Given the fact I've got two grand in tuition sitting on my MasterCard (and I haven't bought books yet) and a grand sum total of $45 in my bank account. A few extra $$s wouldn't be a bad thing. (That's $45 Canadian, for any US readers, which works out to probably less than you have in your pocket right now.)
