Just came back from the vet with Gunner's ashes. Cried from the moment I hit the reception desk to about 10 minutes ago. Now what to do with them. I haven't told Richard about my choice to have her cremated, as his way of dealing with things was to just move on. I'd like to take her ashes out to the country and sprinkle them in the lake, but I don't know *when* I could do that, or *if* I could do it. My sister said to bury her out in the back yard under the apple tree. I thought she'd prefer the country, but she reasons that she'd rather be closer to us, and I think she might be right.

I think I'm going to hold on and not do anything yet until I've had the opportunity to adjust and think about it rationally.
