Parenting is a fecked up thing
Oct. 6th, 2015 06:47 pmSo the kid is in University, about 2 hours away. Learning all kinds about happy independence.
She's alternating between loooooooooooving it and... and what. And being so wracked with anxiety that she can't see straight. I get texts about how horrible it is, and an hour later there's a snapchat of her with her friends having a blast.
Quite frankly, it's making me crazy.
To be clear, she has a lot on her plate. She's taking 3 science classes (two of them with labs) and two general studies class and none of them are exactly easy. She is also playing volleyball, with practices every day with an asshole coach. It's all stressing her out terribly. Except when it isn't, and then it's fabulous.
I'm tired of losing sleep over it.
Ah the joys of parenting.
Can we go back to when the biggest challenge was whether to make lunch or give her money for school pizza?
