2015 can go to hell. I'm done with it.

So 2015 started off with me taking on a new job that was supposed to be the next best thing in my career and has turned out to be a complete and utter disaster and is literally getting worse by the second.

Then there was the funeral for my skipper

Then my dog died

Then my mother got cancer

And now my next door neighbour and friend has passed away unexpectedly. His daughter came home at lunch time and found him dead in their bathroom. No foul play or nefarious actions, probably a heart attack. We've known this family for over 15 years. Our kids have grown up together. We spend every Christmas eve together because that's who we want to spend Christmas eve with. He was a good man and leaves behind a wife and three great kids. He will be missed.

Meanwhile the project I got involved with when I was offered this role is failing miserably and if we can't pull our shit together by September it will probably be dumped.

I am SERIOUSLY done with 2015.

I may need a turnip sacrifice.

The tattoo is helpful. The universe isn't going to sink me.

Turnip sacrifices are surprisingly helpful in my experience. There is something good about watching shit go up in flames within an angry turnip.
