Jan. 17th, 2015 03:24 pmDickie's been snowmobiling this week in New Brunswick.
Now, to be clear, I am 46 years old, been around the block a few times, and consider myself pretty independent.
However, since he's been gone I've done the following:
Changed a light bulb
Bought dog food
Walked the dogs in -20 degree weather
Shovelled the driveway
I would like to point out that any one of you no doubt can and have done these things. I can and have done them as well. And they're really not all that daunting, in fact it's rather embarrassing typing about them. Yet somehow I have a crazy sense of accomplishment as these are typically Dickie jobs. Doing them has made me realize even more that a) it's nice having him around and b) even though I don't want to, I can still manage to change a light bulb and wrestle a 50 lb bag of dogfood while working full time and going to school.
Yay for small wins.
