In truth, and in retrospect, it's not that bad. I have a very pessimistic brain. I need to work at that.
First, he didn't say "No, sorry, you're obviously stupid. Take all the courses. Twice actually, because you're really that stupid."
Second, the response actually went something like this:
I am hoping to meet with Dr. HR Professor today or Friday about your document. One thing that you will have to likely do is complete a formal letter outlining where you demonstrate how your work experience relates to the course requirements. What you have included after the end of each course descriptor is far too brief. I will have a better sense of all of this once Dr. HR Professor and I meet.
In my haste to read the response after waiting three weeks for a reply, my pessimistic brain went right to "Not nearly enough information. Jeeze you're a dumbass" and totally skipped over the "Actually, all you might need is a big long letter telling us how smart you are."
In summary: - It's probably more in the middle of the two of the above statements. - I seriously need to focus on both my speed reading skills and my optimism.
