We spent our vacation putting in new windows and residing the house. We're thinking of shutters, and I'm fairly certain what I like, but I'll take a second or third opinion.

Btw, your house is crazy cute looking. Did your hubby do all that?? Amazing. I don't know what that's called as far as house architecture but it's super cool!

"Turnip" was stolen/in honour of ms_danson (Somebody I picked up from the Friendzy who I'm glad I did). She regularly posts polls and usually has a turnip type option.

My house is crazy normal suburban little box made of ticky-tacky, on a hillside, little box all the same... (Sorry, got carried away.) It's just a house. It's boring, and absolutely the quintessential suburban delight. There are probably tens of thousands of variations of this house all over the eastern seaboard. The structure itself reflects none of my personality whatsoever, however I've lived here for 20 years and Dickie and I have put a lot of work into making it "ours" - painting, replacing fixtures and flooring, and now the windows and siding. It's become a real refuge and though we've been thinking lately of selling and buying something with a bit more pizzazz, I don't think I could sell it any more than I could sell the Kid.

I've really been paying attention to door colors the last few months. There is something about black doors that is so cozy and inviting.
