anigoI'm so angry I could just F'ing scream.
I came home from work today and in my mailbox was a nice little Notice to Comply from the Municipality. It says that a building permit is required for the pool located on my property. I am required to contact the office and submit an application for a building permit. The pool must be emptied until such time as a permit has been issued and complied with according to by-law S700 (which states that we need to have a 5 foot fence around the pool)
This pool is one of those stupid blow-up 3 foot tall jobbers.
The kid is heartbroken. There's no way we can put up a 5 foot fence around a pool that cost about $100.
How FUCKING stupid is that?
**edit** I know, in the grand scheme of things that complaining about a wading pool doesn't really register when it comes to world hunger and the like, but it's a Fucking Kid's Wading pool for chrissakes. How fucking hard up can a municipality be to require you put a 5 foot fence around a fucking kid's wading pool?
