SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEeage
Apr. 22nd, 2006 09:18 pmI just bought myself a new computer. A brand new Dell Dimension 5150 with lots of fun upgrades! Um... I think. Um... Hmm...
I think I just bought myself a new computer. Now that I've gone back to the Dell site to list what it was I bought it tells me that I have no orders pending... oh. Maybe that's because they need to verify my credit card or something. **eye rolling**
Ok, the order has been verified.
-Base Pentium® D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800FSB)
-Memory 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz (2x512M)
-Keyboard Dell USB Enhanced Multimedia Keyboard
-Monitor 19inch E196FP Flat Panel (Flat panel - whoohoo!)
-Video Card 128MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) ATI Radeon X300 SE HyperMemory
-Hard Drive 250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™ (That's the equivalent of 41 Ernies)

-Operating System Genuine Windows® XP Media Center 2005 Edition
-Mouse Dell Optical USB Mouse
-Network Card Integrated Intel® PRO 10/100 Ethernet

So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to name that computer - for networking purposes of course.
I currently have three computers. Yes three. The first one is 9 years old and I built it myself. At the time it cost $800 and was state of the art Pentium II clone with a whopping 6gb hard drive. (He will be going to a new home after the new computer comes, but don't tell him, I don't want to hurt his feelings) His name is Ernie. The second one, the one I'm currently whacking away at, is a cast off from work. His name is Bert. The third one is another cast off from work - a laptop. His name is Elmo. (Truthfully, all three are solid little muppets, nary a blue screen to be seen amongst the three of them, but oooooooooooh so slow...) So, keeping in line with the theme here, I was thinking Snuffleupagus, or maybe Harry Monster, but neither sound exactly right. Mr. Hooper maybe? I don't know why all my computers have to be male, but I refuse to call it Prairie Dawn **Gag** Snivelling little brat she was.
Oh sweet 250GB hard drive... caress me with your DataBurst lovin'.
