This just in...

I'd emailed Shane a couple of times about various things, but every time I emailed him it bounced back. So when he asked me about coming to his party I emailed him from my work account saying:
For some reason, email from my hotmail account keeps bouncing back to me - it says ednet's spam tracker doesn't much care for me. Which is fine, I don't much care for it either.
The jury's still out for Saturday. Got a bunch of other obligations I'm working around though I hope to see it at some point.
And his response...
Good to hear from you (I was starting to wonder). It would be good to see you (guys?) Saturday. Gregg, Pete, Thom are all in (Thom later in the evening, others not sure when). You are welcome anytime.
I love reading more shit into emails than is actually written.

Date: 2006-04-20 03:51 pm (UTC)me too, in fact i think i've designed an art form around it.
i think, if things were different, that you and Shane might have been able to do something together. at this point, with you being married and all (oh geez, is THAT ALL?? :D) he's trying for the better part of valor and settling for little miss girlfriend and his little happy housewarming party.
not sure if i'd go. one thing: you're sure to show her up. and that would be so unfair to her. there's no way she can compete with you on savvy, intelligence, sex appeal, and let's dont forget (let's DONT!) the fact that you are an accomplished sailor and "know" her man intimately...well, you know.
she cant have any of that, and i'm sure he's settling for her because you arent available. if you were, things would be different.
but you arent.
*sigh*
*big hugs*
