Can I ask a question?
Dec. 4th, 2005 10:43 amOk, yeah, that's one. Here's another.
With all this falderhah about the Vatican not allowing homosexuals into the priesthood, am I the only person who seems to notice that.. um... when you're in the priesthood you're... um...
NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE SEX WITH ANYBODY!!!
Period.
No men, no women, no nothing.
So.
If abstenence is supposed to be the norm...
WHAT THE HELL DIFFERENCE DOES YOUR SEXUALITY MAKE!??!
There's been a lot of discussion in the media, but in all the discussion I've never heard anyone actually make this point.

Date: 2005-12-04 07:48 pm (UTC)The Vatican is apparently not aware of the statistics concerning sexual orientation of men who sexually assault children (overwhelmingly heterosexual) and is laying the blame at the feet of homosexual priests.
