So I ran today at lunch time like I said I would. Yay me for running when I said I would.

On the icky side, my foot still hurts. I'm going to have to invest in a better pair of sneakers I guess. Further on the icky side I didn't complete the run that was scheduled because my foot hurt and because I started to feel rather dizzy and flushed. Instead I walked there rest of the way and ended up back at the office with a nice sized headache.

Swell. I hate not being able to finish something I started. Drives me BONKERS.

Today's run was supposed to be: 5 minute warm up/10 minute run/1 min walk/20 min run/1 min walk/15 min run/1 min walk/10 min run/5 min cool down. I got about 7 minutes into the 15 min run part before I decided it was time to stop. So on the upside, I'd never run 20 minutes before without stopping. Now I have. I aso completed more than half of it - running a total of more than 35 mintues, which I guess isn't bad. On the downside - I didnt finish.

Did I mention that I hate not being able to finish something I started. Makes me feel like a bit of a failure.

I think what I'll do is I'll finish off this week's schedule and then I'll think about re-doing it again next week instead of moving on to the two 30 minute runs. At this rate it will take me forever to make it to 10K, but I'll do it. Eventually. At my own pace. Hell, I know I'm doing better than I did when I started this... a hundred years ago. I'll make 10K by the time I'm 60! You have my word on that.
