Nov. 28th, 2011 11:27 amI've just signed up for voice lessons.
Go me!!
(I have always sung, even though most of it would be classified as belting out tunes in the car on a road trip. I sang alto in the choir at church, and I can read music. I play a few instruments, etc. But aside from a couple of years of piano lessons from a NASTY old battleaxe when I was a kid, I haven't had any formal training. I think I have a pretty good ear, and typically sing alto, but I've wanted to see if I could actually make this old voice box do more than just the nasally croak I think it does. Not only that, it's scary as HELL to put yourself in front of somebody who's listening to you croak nasally so I suspect that it will provide double duty. It might make me a stronger person, maybe belt some confidence into me, and it might give me a nicer speaking voice.)
