Ok, I can do it.
Sep. 27th, 2005 07:03 amLast night I ran 5K without stopping. YAY ME!. I can do it. I can do 5K! And I'm fairly confident I could have done more. The only bad thing was that with only about five minutes left I got that whole big face flush/headache thing. That's the third time that's happened. It's like my body's gotten overheated and opened up every vessel, vein and capillary it owns to try to cool me off, even though I don't feel warm, winded or overloaded. Odd.
But anyway, the point of this post is... I CAN DO IT. Which means I can do the Run for the Cure on Sunday. (Meaning that the Rum Race on Saturday will have to be raced with a modicum of soberness - no biggie)
I just need one more thing. And this is where you, my faithful readers, come in. I need a pledge or two. So I'm asking for money. If you want to see me do the run on Sunday, show me the money. One dollar pledges will be gladly accepted. And remember, that's $1 CDN, which is nothing when it comes to the exchange rate. The run is for breast cancer, so it's not like I'll be pocketing your money and buying perfume with it... hey... perfume... I could pocket the money... um... no. That'd be wrong. It's for breast cancer research and that's a good thing.
But seriously. As soon as I get one pledge I'll register. I'll accept cheques, cash through the mail, paypal and your word. Oh, and apparently you can actually pledge on the website under a specific runner, so then there's absolutely no worry about me buying BPAL stuff. So as soon as I get the nod of one pledger I'll register and then you can go there. Any takers?
