Aug. 26th, 2005 10:35 pmAnother ru/alk tonight. this time 3/1 x 9, so 21 minutes of running out of 46 total (5 minute warmup and cool down walks at either end). Ok, not a marathon, but not bad! A person has to start somewhere, and quite frankly I'm a WIMP when it comes to this stuff. I know me, and I know this is one thing that if I push myself too hard on that I will decide that it's just not worth it. If I have to take twice as long as the average joe, then so be it. I'm just looking at the fact that I'm ru/alking at least 5 km 3 times a week and more often than not coming back in a good sweat. Monday I'll try the 5/1 x 10 again. I think if that goes well I'll feel a whole lot more confident about the whole thing.
I think I'm going to go buy myself another pair of sneakers. I like the ones I have now, and they're the first ones that have really agreed with me when it comes to doing this kind of stuff for any length of time, but they weren't *that* expensive... not that money=quality, but I think I might go somewhere where they know what they're talking about and buy another pair and see if there's any difference.

fatty666 for pointing it out to me. As much as Ricky Martin gets made fun of, he's got an excellent beat for ru/alking. Now if I could only find a set of headphones that don't keep falling off of my ears. (Hmm... maybe not so unrelated afterall)

BPAL Stuff.
Tried Ouija. Hated it. It smelled like a cross between toilet paper and Grandma.niffer8 got that one.
Tried Black Pearl. Loved it at once. It smelled like the beach. I liked the coconut smell, which unfortunately wore off rather quickly but left behind a reasonable scent. I give it a 7.5
Tried O. LOVED IT. It smelled sweet and spicy and sexy and warm and musky. Still does. A good solid 9. Sadly, this was one ofniffer8's so I might have to go over and borrow it from time to time.

Ok, CBC people. It's time to stop being on strike now. I miss the Roundup in the afternoon. I miss my morning show. I miss listening to Between the Covers at night. Basically I miss listening to other people babble. Were I a lesser person I'd go to Shareza and download Da Vinci Code and then burn it to listen to in bed or while I was travelling. But of course, that would be wrong....
