Ok, so Christmas wasn't a complete bummer

(or... introducing Anig, the material girl)

Supper at my sisters wasn't completely horrible. In fact, it was kinda fun, and I got some really swell gifts (thereby kind of putting off making my earlier decided statement about heretoafter not receiving gifts anymore)

I got more fleece than you can shake a stick at, which is awesome, as I love (and live in) fleece. I got my forementioned foulweather jacket which was SWEET, and I got a DVD player and a copy of the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou, which I loved the soundtrack of, but had never seen, and.. and... Moulin Rouge, which was the only movie I'd ever seen twice in theaters and have watched already five times since figuring out the DVD player about 24 hours ago. I WORSHIP that movie.

I was rather bummed on Boxing Day, as I felt like Christmas was over and I'd missed all the excitement (which was true) but I've moved on. It snowed a bit today, which is crappy, as all I really wanted was snow for Christmas and then it could go back to balmy plus twelve until April when it's allowed to shoot up to plus 20.

Jess is sleeping over a friends house tonight and Richard's working. He pulled down ANOTHER over time shift again today, so he's working a 24 hour shift. So far in the first week of my two week vacation he's worked 3 extra shifts, not to mention the scheduled christmas day shift, boxing day shift and two night shifts on the days thereafter. So much for a family holiday.

However, the house is nice and quiet. I've got most of the laundry done, if not folded, I've given myself a facial, and I've been able to watch Moulin Rouge in the directors cut and the writer's cut as well as the regular cut three times (once in a close angle) and nobody's told me I'm OCDing, so that's not bad.


Hey, I see Quixotic has made it into the current mood section. Who woulda thot it.


I think I may wander off to bed now... unless I find another option of viewing MR...
