Good morning!
Apr. 9th, 2005 07:28 amI'm up early studying. They're unwrapping the boat today, but I'm not going to be able to make it. But that's ok. This means that boat season is starting and once this exam is over I need never pass up another boat day for school! (And, I've gotten the hang of chapter 15. One chapter down, three to go.)
It's an incredible morning - very very peaceful right up until about 20 minutes ago when Dick came home and woke the household up. But he's gone to bed now and peace has resumed.) There was a heavy frost last night but the sun is shining this morning. The trees are still bare, but take the bare trees, cover them and the grass in frost, allow a peek of the open lake behind the house (no leaves = a rare view of the lake) backlight the whole thing with an early morning sun and... SHAZAM. It's beautiful. Ok, Shazam is probably not the most appropriate word, but its one of those sights that lets you know that everything really is all right with the world.
My crocuses are finally starting to bloom. It's just a smidge above freezing, or so the thermometer says, but the sun is full of the promise of heat and I think it's going to be an amazing day.
And the kid has JUST body slammed the dog.
So much for peace.
But I think the beauty might hang out for a bit yet.
Good morning!
