muscles DO weigh a lot more than fat, as you already know...but there could be some redisposition of your...um...body matter before things settle out. you arent really chunky anyway, you are just tall. ;)

a couple things you can do to jump start the losses...be religious about the water intake, try 6 eight ounce glasses a day. cut out carbonated stuff, even the diet things; those CAN make you bloaty. try to limit yourself to only one or two cups of coffee each morning. the caffeine can be counter productive.

who says you cant have any chocolate??? just work it into your calorie count. chocolate has mythical healing powers and MIGHT heal your pulled intercostal muscle. are you a doctor??? you dont know what might work, best to try everything. also at the very least chocolate consumption releases endorphins into your bloodstream, you are in pain, so you definitely need those endorphins. listen to me now, i'm a nurse!!!!

lastly, you are probably ovulating or about to menstruate. that'll add both pounds AND bloat. how about adding some lemon to some of that water? it'll diurese you...of course the water alone should do that.

nice seeing the 'three things' again. i'd gotten out of the habit lately, too.
:D
