simonmarshall I have my plane ticket and I'll be there this evening. Can you pick me up at the airport?

It's a two deer kind of morning. Driving to work I have to go over what's called Magazine Hill. Magazine Hill is not named because so because it stores lots of Cosmo, Time, NewsWeek, etc, but rather because it's where Canada keeps much of it's munitions. (Shhh... it's a secret.) It's a fairly large area that is all fenced off. The fences are to keep all the munitions from running away, I suspect. Another thing, though, that the fences do is keep all kinds of deer safe. You're not allowed to shoot deer on Magazine Hill. (Gosh, carrying arms on military property - go figure.) There are TONNES of happy little deer (and their babies during the right time of year) who frollic around behind the fences. Occasionally you'll see one getting a drink or eating the grass by the fence. Usually, though, it's a fairly rare occurance. Lately, however, there have been deer on Magazine Hill just about every time you drive through there. Seeing a Deer on the Hill is a sign of good luck. This morning is a two deer morning. The other day when I took the wrong exit to my exam it was a four deer morning. I think fate had me take the wrong exit to show me the deer.

Ok, that had nothing to do with anything. But there it is.

My desk still isn't here. It was supposed to be next day delivery on Thursday. I suspect I'm going to have to investigate. I also have one of Orval's irate customers to deal with today. As she's no longer my responsibility I think I'll piss her off further just for the hell of it. I mean, nothing says Happy Valentine's day more than telling them they're stupid and if they had enough clues to read the contract that they'd signed they'd understand why they're getting billed extra for using three times the amount of counselling they're supposed to use.

Ah, the wonderous life of me.

I got my flowers on Saturday. We are exchanging gifts tonight but I think he's getting shortchanged and I can't think of anything to fill in the blanks... He has everything he could possibly need. Maybe I'll pick up a split of champagne or something...
