Are we tied on?!?!

Well, it's Monday, and I'm typing this journal entry, therefore I didn't drown. Had a really good weekend though, more like my old self, which is nice. :) Saturday was an awesome race. We actually won!! (But only by default as the other boat dropped out after the second mark. I saw 32 knots of wind at one point. It was CRAZY! We were doing over 11 knots without a spinnaker. Thom decided not to fly one (you *KNOW* it's windy if Thom decides, with a full crew on board, not to fly the chute.) Wind, rain, cold, big seas. Lorraine got beat around a bit back on the runners. I hope that doesn't dampen her spirit any, because I HATE the runners and I know I'll get put back there if she decides not to come anymore. Don got beat around a bit too on the main. Two reefs and it was still a bitch to pull in. My arms are so sore I couldn't reach around to undo my bra last night. Richard called me just as we pulled into South Shore to find out if I was going to make it to Daniel's birthday party - and then gave me a guilt trip when I said I wouldn't. What does he expect, we only found out about the birthday party two days before and he knows I sail on Saturdays. Jeesh. But enough. I'm not feeling grumpy today, so I'm not going to get into it.

Yesterday we spent the day in Musquodoboit visitng his parents. It was ok. Not the best time, as it was windy and cold and rainy and we all had to stay inside. Richard went out to go fishing and play on the motorcycles. But again, I'm in a good mood so I'm not going to gripe about being left in the house while he goes out a plays.

This week looks slow at work. Perhaps by the end of the week I'll have the Key Personnel Training Script memorized.
